Voluntary Services
Voluntary service is all about giving back to the community. It encourages participants to develop compassion and empathy by contributing their time and effort to help others. Whether you’re tutoring younger students, participating in community clean-up projects, or volunteering at a local charity, the goal is to make a positive impact.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
At least one hour per week commitment over the required period.

Skills Development
This section focuses on personal growth through learning new skills or enhancing existing ones. It’s about discovering your passions and building expertise that can be useful in your personal and professional life. From cooking and playing musical instruments to learning new languages or coding, the possibilities are endless.

Physical Recreation
Staying active and healthy is crucial for overall well-being. The Physical Recreation section encourages participants to engage in sports and fitness activities. It’s not just about physical fitness, but also about learning discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
At least one hour per week commitment over the required period.
Engage in activities you enjoy, whether it is team sports, individual pursuits, or fitness programs.
Develop a lifelong habit of physical activity and understand its benefits for mental and physical health.
Adventurous Journey
This is the most exciting part of the Award! The Adventurous Journey takes you out of your comfort zone and into the great outdoors. It’s about exploration, teamwork, and self-reliance. You’ll plan, train for, and complete an expedition that challenges you physically and mentally.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
Plan and train for your journey, ensuring you’re well-prepared and safe.
Work with your team to navigate and complete the expedition.
Experience the thrill of adventure and gain a deeper appreciation for nature and resilience.
Award Levels
The Award is divided into three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each level requires a greater degree of commitment and effort, but the rewards are immense.
Bronze
WHO IT IS FOR ? :
Beginners or those new to the Award. (at least 14 years of age)
DURATION:
at least 6 months.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Voluntary Service
- Physical Recreation
- Skills
- Adventurous Journey : 2 days, 1 night.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Participants must choose one of these sections as major and rest as minor. Major activities must comprise 26 hours (1 hour per week) per section. Minor activity duration should be accomplished by the end of 13 hours likewise.
Silver
WHO IT IS FOR ? :
Those who have completed Bronze or are ready for a bigger challenge.
DURATION:
12 months (6 months if Bronze is completed).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Voluntary Service
- Physical Recreation
- Skills
- Adventurous Journey: 3 days, 2 nights.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Participants must choose one of the sections (Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, or Skills) to extend for an additional 6 months if they haven’t achieved Bronze.
Gold
WHO IT IS FOR ? :
The ultimate challenge for those who have completed Silver or want to take on the highest level.
DURATION:
18 months (12 months if Silver is completed).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Voluntary Service
- Physical Recreation
- Skills
- Adventurous Journey: 4 days, 3 nights.
- Residential Project: 5 days, 4 nights.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Participants must choose one of the sections (Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, or Skills) to extend for an additional 6 months if they haven’t achieved Silver.
