Providing Access and Empowering Youth Living in Homes (Three Funds)

Launched under the Three Funds Grant initiative, this project brought the Award to young people growing up in children’s homes and residential care across Nepal. It was implemented by Saksham Yuwa Nepal with ECDC, Nepal Youth Foundation and SOS Children’s Villages Nepal.

The initiative expanded to 11 Award Centres, including all nine SOS Children’s Villages. Against a target of 130 youth, it reached 227 participants, with 76 completing Awards. Fifteen Award Leaders and more than 70 volunteers supported activities across all Award sections.

Reported outcomes included stronger confidence, discipline, teamwork and psychosocial wellbeing, demonstrating the lasting value of structured youth development in residential care.
