When I was small, photos were a hassle in my life. The whole concept of taking photos appeared like a demonic nightmare to me. However, everything changed when I chose photography as a skill for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. At first, the whole purpose was to gain knowledge and take simple pictures but my enthusiasm grew more and more.
As days passed by, I realised that it had turned into a hobby and now a mode of expressing art that I could never express easily. Various programs conducted in my college provided the best opportunity for me to foster and develop my skills. I even got the opportunity to meet a lot of photographers through my photos which has really helped me to socialise properly and express myself. Not only was I able to realise my mistake that I was under but also turn it into my greatest weapon that can be used in life, all during the Award.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award was a life changing experience for me in every step from the first day to the last without me realising the change until the very last day. I am thankful for the opportunity to participate in this award despite of all the struggles I had to go through.
